Monday, January 18, Helping Young People Excel - H.Y.P.E. - is sponsoring a celebration of Martin Luther King at Winnsboro City Auditorium from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. A free barbecue lunch will be served.
H.Y.P.E. has been serving the youth and young adults of the Winnsboro area for over nine years. The focus is to mentor young people to realize their potential by exposing them to opportunities that are available to them. The positive impact of the organization on the less fortunate has been significant. The leaders have given guidance and encouragement to countless young people since they formed the nonprofit organization.
The Celebration will also be raising funds for the MLK Park in Winnsboro.
