Cut your own Christmas tree and watch the kids' eyes sparkle

Anita Williams - Friday, November 18, 2011

The Cypress Springs Tree and Berry Farm, in Scroggins, near Winnsboro, will give your family an outdoor adventure that will live in their memories for a lifetime.

Imagine hopping on a trailer pulled by a tractor through the woods.  Keep an eye out for the “prefect” tree.  Then hop off, get your bow saw from the driver and claim your tree.

Shop for holidays gifts and snacks while enjoying free coffee or spiced tea at the Cabin Craft Gift Shop.  There's a pavilion and picnic area for those who bring their own cooking supplies.

Open Weekends from Thanksgiving to Christmas.

Opening Day is Friday, Nov. 25th, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Sundays Noon to 5:30 p.m.
Weekday wagon rides by appointment.
