
The Bible Reading Marathon starts at 1 pm on Monday, May 2 and will continue through the National Day of Prayer, wrapping up at the former Alco parking lot on S. Main St. at 6:30 pm.
The National Day of Prayer will include events throughout the day, Thursday, May 5.
The day will begin with a Come & Go Prayer Breakfast at the First United Methodist Church Family Life Center, 301 Church St. from 6:30 to 8:30 am.
At 12 Noon, people will gather at City Hall to pray specifically for our local government leaders, fire fighter and police, as well as state and national government.
Prayer, praise music and speaking at the former Alco location at approximately 6:30 pm, following the conclusion of the Bible Reading Marathon.
