County Line 2011 Best of the Upper East Side awards - Winnsboro wins the most "Bests" 3rd year in a row!

Anita Williams - Thursday, January 05, 2012

Winnsboro fans came through once again and we came out on top once again!

Not that we were nervously waiting to see the results of this year's balloting, but when the January edition of County Line Magazine landed downtown, we pounced on them to see how our city fared.

Winnsboro establishments captured three honored positions in the new County Line Magazine Hall of Fame. These spots are reserved for those who have won repeatedly over the years. They now have permanent status as the “best of the best” in the Hall of Fame.

Winnsboro shared Hall of Fame honors with Edom and Canton, each with three Hall of Fame winners.  Only 15 previous winners were honored.

In the 2011 balloting, Winnsboro won five of the 47 categories. In the group of honored runners-up, Winnsboro trailed Tyler by a few votes.

The 2,000 votes were spread across more than three dozen communities, which shows our area is serious about promoting the assets of our corner of Texas.

Be sure to congratulate our winners when you drop by. . .

A special thanks to all who took the time to vote.  And we appreciate your support throughout the year by shopping and dining locally, and enjoying the arts and music that put Winnsboro on the map.
