Merry Christmas 2012 from City Kitty and her friends at the Winnsboro Animal Shelter

Anita Williams - Tuesday, December 25, 2012

Hello to all my friends in Winnsboro! It's Christmastime again and I just wants to remind you that the Animal Shelter could use some gifts.  My buddies are waiting for new famblies, and in the meantime need food, treats, toys and gifts for everybody at the shelter.

Donations are important, too, so the vet can take care of everyone and give them the medicine they need.

If you can help us, we'd really 'preciate it. And don't forgit that we have lots of playful pets who just want a fambly of their own.

Have a happy holiday.

City Kitty has a great idea for warm, cuddly and lovable gift this Christmas!

Anita Williams - Friday, December 16, 2011

Hi - it's me, City Kitty again.

It's almost Christmas and I'm purdy sure you have some people on your list who would really enjoy a new pet.

We would all 'preciate it if you think about giving a sweet animals as a present. . . including a gift for yourself!

At the Winnsboro Animal Shelter, we have kittens and growed up cats, puppies and faithful older dogs.  They're all looking for someone to love them like my Cat Mommies at City Hall love me.

Also, my friends are hoping for gifts of food and toys if you would be so kind as to drop them off a the Shelter.  They also need money for medicine and vet visits.

If you want to come see my pals at the Shelter, be sure to call to make sure someone will be there when you visit.

Thank you for rememb'ring the orphans waiting for a cozy home this Christmas!

Your friend,

City Kitty

Friendly, cuddly, adoring dogs and cats are wonderful Christmas surprises for folks in Winnsboro, TX.

Hello and Happy Howlidays -

It's me, City Kitty again writing to you from City Hall. As the official Spokescat for the Winnsboro Animal Shelter, I want to let you know that there are over 25 kittens, cats, puppies and dogs at the Shelter.

When you adopt an animal to be a pet of your own, or to give someone special who would love a faithful friend, everybody gets a gift. Humans get new companions and the dogs an cats get new homes.

If you hurry, you can choose a Brittany Spaniel, a beautiful Tri-color Hound, one of the Lab mixes, or one of the many puppies and kittens.

I was lucky when I was adopted by everyone at City Hall. I love my fambly. I want all my friends at the Shelter to have a fambly, too. The peoples at the shelter are very nice and kind, but they know the animals are very eager to have homes of their own.

If it's not possible for you to adopt a pet, could you be a Foster Parent for one or more of the pets for a few days over the holiday?

Miss Rena, our Animal Control Officer, wants the animals to enjoy a few days of holiday vacation away from the shelter. She and the wonderful Shelter volunteers are looking for “Christmas Foster Homes” to care for the cats and dogs from Friday, December 24 'til Monday, December 27, 2010.

If you love animals and adopting a pet or being a Foster Parent isn't possible, please consider bringing a gift to the Shelter for my friends. Food for dogs, puppies, cats and kittens is always needed. And litter, of course. Toys are nice too. Pets waiting for homes love to play. Some of the animals need medicine or a vet visit, so donations are good, too.

We have lots of nice volunteers who help Miss Rena take care of the animals. If you want to help, you can be a volunteer, too. There are plenty of things to do around the shelter - answering phones, greeting people coming into the Shelter, working on the compooter, and hepping in the office, the kennel area or the cat room. Sometimes volunteers just play with the animals or take them for a walk.

And here's a special request - if you have 'sperience in training puppies or dogs and would like to help with obedience training, that would give some of the pets good manners so they are ready for adoption.

We 'preciate whatever you can do this Christmas to make it special for our pets.

Please visit the Shelter at 835 Hope Lane in City Park and speak with Miss Rena, or call 903-342-3400.

Meowy Christmas to all, and to all, a good pet!

Your friend,

City Kitty aka Santa Paws
