Copper Leaf Spa selected to offer Laser Cellulite and body shaping

Anita Williams - Saturday, March 12, 2011

CopperLeaf has been chosen as a Rural Test market for the latest in Laser Cellulite and body shaping treatments; I-Lipo by Chromogenex.

Along with 9 plastic surgeons offices in Dallas, the CopperLeaf Day Spa and Salon of Winnsboro has been selected as a test sight for the latest in laser body shaping, I-Lipo. So come be part of the non-invasive war on fat!

I-Lipo Is a revolutionary new low level laser system for body shaping and cellulite treatments. The treatment is relaxing and pain free .

A typical client can expect to reduce an area by 1 – 2 dress sizes during a course of treatments. A series of 8 treatments in a 4 week time period is recommended.

How does it work? Painless and without much effort on your part I-Lipo is a red low light laser that fires at the targeted fat cells. In a laying position, we belt 4 laser paddles around the desired area for 20 minutes .

The process creates pores in the fat cell walls in which stored triglycerides broken down into fatty acids and glycerol are moved out of the cell and into the lymphatic system .

It then needs to be pushed out of the Lymphatic through Lymphatic Drainnage ( a type of massage) , exercise or sauna.
While a quick fix can be obtained in just a few sessions, adjustments to one’s diet and exercise regime will ensure a long term result.

The CopperLeaf day Spa and Salon of Winnsboro has a package series of 8 at a 25% savings. One treatment is usually $200.00 but with a series of 8, the price goes to $175.00 per treatment.

3rd Annual Winnsboro Animal Shelter Garage Sale

Anita Williams - Monday, February 28, 2011
Hi - It's me, City Kitty writing you from City Hall.

I wanted you to know about the Garage Sale my human friends are having to raise money for my furry friends at the Animal Shelter.

It's gonna be held Thursday, May 12 through Saturday, May 14, 2011. You can shop from 8 am – 5 pm on all three days.

Oh, Miss Denise says to tell you it's at City Park Auditorium in City Park.

It’s getting warmer so maybe you'll be “Spring Cleaning” your closets, garages and storage sheds. Your donations of things you don't use any more can mean a lot to the kitten, cats, puppies and dogs.

All proceeds from the garage sale will go towards “Helping Us Help Them” with dog food, cat food, cat litter, vet care, medications, vaccinations and other supplies.

If you have items that are in good, working, and salable condition, (no clothing please) call 903-342-3400 to arrange a time to meet at the shelter's storage space or for a pick up of your items

If you would like to volunteer to help with the garage sale, please call Miss Denise Miranda 903-629-7471.

Thank you for your support of the Winnsboro Animal Shelter! Our friends make it possible to keep the animals waiting for adoption.

Let me be the first to give you a round of a-paws for your help.

City Kitty celebrates her birthday on Valentine's Day

Anita Williams - Sunday, February 13, 2011

Hi, it's me, City Kitty and I just had to tell you that I'm celebrating my furst birfday on Balentines Day.

Well, it isn't really my birfday, but it's when we decided to celebrate 'cuz nobody knows when I was really borned.

Miss Nina took my picture. I love all the red sparkly stuff for Balentines Day. But it doesn't taste very good.

The picture below shows just how much I've growed up in one year. Doesn't my fluffy tail look purdy?

I have everything I want here at my home in City Hall. But if you'd like to celebrate my birfday wif a present, you could take some cat food or dog food, play toys or litter to the Animal Shelter for my friends. I'd be so happy if you did. Thank you.

Your friend,

City Kitty

Another snow day! A gift? Or not so much?

Anita Williams - Friday, February 04, 2011

Winnsboro woke up this morning to snow that's about five inches deep.

And above, ladies and gentleman, is the normally busy Hwy 515/Coke Rd. heading east into town at 8:57 am this morning. The gray, overcast sky at that hour makes it look even colder than it is out there.

It's true that a few brave souls have been slip-sliding down the highway at low speeds. One pick-up got stuck in snow  just a few yards from where this shot was taken.

But, the typical morning traffic is pretty well non-existent today.

Below is a photo taken before dawn of the snow falling, illuminated by the glow of the street light (and camera flash). When I stepped outside to take this picture, I enjoyed the magical, muffled silence that comes with a thick blanket of snow.

So, February storms? Magic or mayhem?

Saturday follow-up. . .

This was taken, as you can see, as the sun was rising this morning. The sunbeams lit up the snow. It's subtle, but you may be able to see the sparkles in the snow created by tiny prisms of frozen precipitation. A lawn full of diamonds!

That's the "in-town view" of the snow, and Lindy Hearne captured a wonderful "piney woods" version in the wonderful photo of Goolsby's Pool.
