Winnsboro celebrates 20 years as a Main St. town.  Since its designation, Winnsboro’s Main Street Program has been a major factor in the development and preservation of our downtown with over $11 million dollars reinvested in our downtown through public and private funding.

Winnsboro Texas is a historic town  where the pines meet the oaks filled with beautiful lakes and amazing spring and fall colors.

Winnsboro Texas is a designated cultural arts district and a Main Street Town offering not only art, music and literature  but unique annual events, award winning restaurants and shops in a welcoming community.

In 2018 Winnsboro was inducted into the Hall of Fame for the Best Downtown in the Uppper East Side of Texas County Line Magazine competition.

Once in a Lifetime Solar Eclipse Coming to Winnsboro

On October 14th, 2023 Winnsboro will be in the path of the Annular Solar Eclipse. Then on April 8th, 2024 Winnsboro will be in the path of a Total Solar Eclipse.

We will bear witness on April 8th to one of nature’s greatest shows as a total solar eclipse will cross our area. A mere 25 miles from center of the shadow’s path, we will be treated to over four minutes of twilight darkness. The partial phase of the eclipse will start at approximately 12:25pm with the totality phase beginning at 1:44pm and lasting 4 minutes. Except during totality, all are strongly advised to use viewing protection as even the smallest amount of sunlight can cause eye damage.
