Winnsboro Texas is a designated cultural arts district and a Main Street Town offering not only art, music and literature  but unique annual events, award winning restaurants and shops in a welcoming community.

In 2018 Winnsboro was inducted into the Hall of Fame for the Best Downtown in the Uppper East Side of Texas County Line Magazine competition.

The Local Animal Shelter

In 1997, the City of Winnsboro planned and built a 1700 square foot animal shelter to handle the increasing volume of neglected and unwanted animals. The shelter was started with a $10,000.00 donation and continues today
