Every Weekend in October
For more than 60 years Winnsboro has hosted the Autumn Trails Celebration every October. The town is filled with visitors from not just Texas but surrounding states as well. The highlights of the month are the Antique Car parade that is the largest in the Southwest. There are a variety of events each weekend to enjoy. If you care for a drive there are four driving tours to see the colors of fall.
2020 Dates and Activities
Trail Riders Welcome Parade - 4:00 pm Downton Winnsboro
Trail Ride - 9:00 am City Park
Mule Rodeo - 7:00 pm Roddeo Arena at the City Park
October 22, 23 and 24
Trade Days and Swap Meet 7:00 am to 5:00 pm each day at the City Park
Arts & Crafts - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Elm St and Market St
Pie Contest - 9:00 am First Baptist Church 3D on Elm St.
Categories are fruit, nut and Cream pies. Pies need to be delivered at 10:00 am – Judging will be at 11:00 am.
All contestants will furnish two pies for each category entered. One pie for judgin and one to be sold. Disposable pans only. There will be a junior and senior division. There will be ribbons for 1st – 3rd place in each category per division. There will also be a Grand Prize Trophy.
Chili Cook Off First Baptist Church 3D building on Elm St.
Cooks start at 7:00 am at the First Baptist Church located at 106 W. Elm St.
Antique Car Parade - 10:00 am
Classic Car Show - 11:00 am - South Main St directly following the parade
Downtown Winnsboro – Starts at Hwy11 at RR tracks, 2.5 miles West of Main St.
