Nestled along the shores of Lake Bob Sandlin, just 20 minutes from Winnsboro, is Big Al’s Barefoot Bay Resort. Recently, the resort added a Floating Activity Zone with an inflatable obstacle course for climbing, sliding, jumping, and hanging out in gazebos on the water.

A lakeside resort since the 1980s, Sondra and Alan Pariser bought the 44-acre property about a year ago and began making renovations.

Besides the floating activity zone, they have a marina with boat slips and rent pontoon boat and pedal boats, kayaks, and paddle boards.

There’s a general story and gift shop also with ice, beer, wine, food, and live bait and tackle for fishing trips.

The on-site restaurant, Castaway’s Bar & Grill, has a menu that includes burgers, wings, sandwiches, chicken and steaks. Live entertainment takes place on Friday and Saturdays.

Shaded cabana space is available next to the lake with several seatings for four to 12+ people. A VIP butler service is available with an all-day pass.

On-site lodging at Big Al’s Barefoot Bay includes waterfront RV sites with full hookups, concrete pads, and shady trees as well as cozy fully-equipped cabins.
