Total Solar Eclipse in Winnsboro

Monday April 8, 2024 – We will bear witness to one of nature’s greatest shows as a total solar eclipse will cross our area. A mere 25 miles from center of the shadow’s path, we will be treated to over four minutes of twilight darkness. The partial phase of the eclipse will start at approximately 12:25pm with the totality phase beginning at 1:44pm and lasting 4 minutes. Except during totality, all are strongly advised to use viewing protection as even the smallest amount of sunlight can cause eye damage.
