Richie’s Grill & Cafe – More Than a Restaurant

No Shortcuts at Richie's - Everything Made from Scratch

Today it is hard to find a restaurant that takes the extra effort to make everything by hand.  There simply are no short cuts at Richie’s.  Enjoy one of the best hand pressed hamburgers anywhere around and order with their famous onion rings.  If you are partial to chile relleno’s, keep in mind that they are hand breaded, cut and stuffed to perfection.   If you are looking for amazing chicken fried steak look no further than Richies.  Enchiladas are one of their most popular items and you can even have it your way by selecting your choice of shrimp, chicken, beef or cheese.

Choices abound at Richie’s with a selection of appetizers, sandwiches, salads and grilled favorites like ribeye’s, grilled chicken and an assortment of fish.

A Family Affair

You have to love a restaurant that includes family members.  Abel and Carmen Perez have been creating delicious food since the restaurant opened in 2006.  Their devotion to family and great food is a big part of the restaurant’s success.  Another hallmark of a great restaurant is a staff that loves their jobs and stays many years.  One employee, Miss Freddie, has been cooking even before Richie owned the restaurant and is now in her 30th year.  The wait staff also includes very familiar faces that love serving both regulars and new guests.

If you ask the regulars what they enjoy, in addition to the great food, they will tell you, “Richie’s just feels like home.”

A Generous Heart and Boundless Community Spirit

Richie Perez
Owner of Richie’s Grill & Cafe

Oh, what a wonderful world it would be if we just had more Richie’s in it.  Throughout the year Richie gives back to people in need in numerous ways.  If he learns about a particular need, he just steps up and gets involved.  His enthusiasm and caring stimulates the community into action.  Here are just a few ways Richie helps change lives:

Every Thanksgiving a free buffet is offered between 11 am and 2 pm.  Those that attend can donate if they like or simply enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving dinner on the house.  Throughout the year Ritchie’s accepts donations to help those in need in the community.  Last year a Father and his son lost the use of their legs.  The community came together offering donations for the family.  A local contractor, B & B, put in a much needed driveway for the family at their own expense.  The entire effort from raising the money to installing the driveway took only two weeks.  An inspiring story that reflects a real and caring community encouraged by a true leader.

Another example of generosity occurred after the 2010 hurricane in Haiti that took many lives and homes.  This was Richie’s first benefit that raised $13,000 for the people of Haiti.
