Great Food and Welcoming Atmosphere
The original Elusive Turkey was located on Broadway Street and closed during the pandemic. It has now been re-opened at 218 N. Main St. in Winnsboro. The owners of the Elusive Turkey, Ron and Dana McGlone have truly transformed the building into a very welcoming and fun place with a true hometown vibe. They are passionate about providing the best and most unique food offerings with friendly and welcoming service. Ron and Dana are from Winnsboro and truly appreciate the special place they call home. They recognize the value of close friendships and support from the community that is hard to find in bigger cities. The theme song from Cheers, “Where Everybody Knows Your Name”, came to mind as he shared his feelings. Good thing there is a very long bar in the restaurant to accommodate both regulars and first timers.
Brick Pizza Oven all the way from Italy
The restaurant prides itself in their brick pizza oven imported from Italy. They have mastered the skill of making thin crust pizza, with a large selection of toppings to choose from. During the interview Ron treated me to a pizza. I have a feeling (YUM) the Elusive Turkey might just become famous for their pizza’s.
Charlotte is one of the Star Atrractions
Charlotte is a service monkey and part of the owners family. She is a loving and friendly monkey. Sure to bring a smile to your face. Maybe you will get lucky and meet Charlotte on a trip to the Elusive Turkey.

A Delicious Menu and Specialty Drinks
The owners works hard to make sure everything on the menu is delicious and consistent including the friendly service. The menu will continue to grow. Look forward to sliders coming soon. Their goal is to make customers happy so they will return again and again. Check out the menu items below.
This week the Elusive Turkey received their liquor license. They have employed a professional bar tender and will continue to add specialty drinks to their offering like the Fire Hydrant Mimosa.
In the Future
Continuing on the theme of a great experience at the Elusive Turkey look for additional activities to be added. There are plans to add a poker table, cuban cigars, corn hole and other fun activities.
