Autumn Trails Driving Tours

The entire month of October Winnsboro comes alive with events every weekend including the Annual Antique Car Parade, cook offs, arts and crafts, rodeos and the awesome colors that fall brings to beautiful East Texas.

If time allows take one of the following driving tours and capture the best nature has to offer.  Return to Winnsboro and enjoy dinner at one of the award winning restaurants or enjoy a concert at the Bowery Stage at the Winnsboro Center for the Arts.

The Blue Tour is the original Autumn Trails Tour and covers about 30 miltes.  It starts at City Park,  the Municipal Airport, Cater’s Lookout, Latta Park and Plaster Shop, Mt. Zion Cemetery, 4-D Guest Ranch, Bent Pine Gallery and Smyrna Church.

Blue Tour

The pink tour covers about 30 miles.  Its route starts at Carl Azbell Memorial Park at the intersection of Hwy 515 and Hwy 37.  It continues on to the Trails Inn Motel, Lake Winnsboro, Lions Park, Pleasure Point, Captain Henry Stout Roadside Park and Stout Family Cemetery, East Point Lookout, Big Woods Springs, Ogburn Community and back to American Legion Park.

Pink Tour

The Orange Tour covers about 24 miles and start at Winnsboro City Park.  The tour takes you to Chalybeate Springs, Scroggins General Store, Texaco Oil Refinery, Lake Cypress Springs, State Roadside Park with natural springs, Peckerwood Flats, Lake Franklin then back to Winnsboro.
